The Castello Orsini
was built in the 13th century and rebuilt in the 16th with
a square plan with three cylindric towers on the corners.
When in 1504 the sister of Pope Paul III and Giulia Farnese
was murdered in Faleria, the latter, wife of Orso Orsini,
buried her sister in the castle of Vasanello. After the Orsini
the Della Rovere, then the Colonna and finally the Barberini
controlled the town.
The Museo del Castello exhibits medieval and Renaissance
pottery.
