The Botanical Garden has an extension of 6 hectars, where are being reproduced the most important terrestrian ecological systems. Special attention is paid to the vegetation of the "Mediterranean macchia (maquis)", of the "African oasises", of the "deserts of Northern Mexico", of the "subtropical areas in Australia" and of the "secondary African tropical forests"; the latter is sheltered in winter-time. Actually in course of preparation are an evolutive collection of the species Pinus, examples of reproductions of rock-gardens and of the vegetation of humid areas. The gardens exploit the near sulphureous hot water springs of Bulicame . Access by car from the road Faul-Bagni, near the link of the Superstrada or by foot from Via S. Caterina.
