It's a small sanctuary of Romanesque
origin, partly restructurated at the end of the 15th century.
The Santuario della Madonna del Monte conserves a fresco
with the image of Our Lady of Florentine school. Every year,
the procession called Barabbata is directed to the
sanctuary: a pictoresque cortege of farmers and fishermen,
in the company of cows, pigs, sheep, poultry and rabbits on
approx. twenty allegoric carts climb up the hill to thank
for the produce of the land.
