Italo Arieti, born in Tuscania in the Maremma of Viterbo, is a paediatrist and has held various public offices, such as president of the Provincial Tourist Organisation of Viterbo. Its in this role that he had the opportunity to sign a first series of booklets on the cuisine of the Tuscia region, which have been later gathered in its volume "Tuscia a tavola", which has come to its third edition.

Thanks to a methodic and capillary research, enrichened by the memories of his mother Ilde, the author reproposes over 400 recipes, of which he often indicates the popular origins of the villages and the country of the region, which represent today culture and distinction in a crowded scenario of regional touristic proposals.

  As a delegate of Viterbo of the Italian Cuisine Academy, Arieti has been a promoter of appreciated initiatives concerning local gastronomy, being a useful consultant in more than one of those occasions, when people gather around a table, laid or not, to discuss the savours of the Viterbo country.

  Conferences, articles, forewords, columns and presentations in magazines, folders, manuals, catalogues etc. form the daily appendix of a hobby, which, after all, remains pleasant and gratifying.
